New LNP Leadership Team

The past few days has seen major changes to the leadership and future direction of the Liberal National Party (LNP). The decision by Campbell Newman to step forward and offer his services to the leadership team of the LNP has been welcomed by the Liberal National Party and Parliamentary Team. Campbell Newman, best known as the "Can-Do" man, has much to offer the LNP Election Team.  He has proven himself as a civic leader. His experience and track record cannot be disputed. We believe with a leader like Campbell Newman leading our election team we can put to the people of Queensland an alternative Government that can correct the damage that Labor has done. Campbell Newman and the LNP will provide a viable alternative to a tired and failed Labor government. 

Campbell Newman is the leader of the LNP election team. I am the Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament.  I will do the job in the Parliament and I will do the job in the way I did when I previously held the position. I will do the job in a way that will hold our end up in the Parliament respectfully. But Campbell Newman will be the leader of the LNP election team; he will lead us to the election, win for us and lead the Government. 

I  will occupy the formal position in the Parliament that Campbell cannot because he is not a member of Parliament but in all other respects Campbell Newman will be the leader of the LNP election team. I will do the hard work in the Parliament and in the Leader of the Opposition position. I know how hard the work can be at times but I'm happy to do that to support Campbell to ensure he is elected as leader of the Liberal National Party team at the next election. 

If successful there will be No Doubt that Campbell Newman will be the Premier, and I will be happy to serve in any position with the new Government.
